Actually, I started out on Blogspot, so I guess that first I cheated on Blogspot with LiveJournal and then left Blogspot for LiveJournal.
LiveJournal and I have had a wonderful relationship, full of mainly ups and far fewer downs than Blogspot.
But now, everyone is like OOH TUMBLR. And I'm like OOH NEW SHINY?
So, I'm trying it out.
Basically, there are two options.
1) I hate Tumblr and come back to LiveJournal, hoping it'll take me back .
or
2) I like Tumblr much better, in which case I leave LiveJournal like I left Blogspot.
But, you know, if I cheated on someone else to get to you, LiveJournal, you should have known that I'd eventually cheat on you with someone else. You really shouldn't feel blindsided.
Cheaters gonnna cheat.
If you'd like to follow my affair, you can find me at brynelizabeth.tumblr.com (where I haven't actually posted anything yet).

I saw it. I loved it. My dad didn't. But it was soooo true to the book. I LOVED it. Can I go see it again?
( WARNING: DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT DH SPOILERS! )
I know I said that before, but that was Numb3rs. And it got cancelled.
Now, we have Blue Bloods. Which has awesome actors. And I look forward to it.
Like, yesterday was a Wednesday but it felt like a Friday because it was our last day of school of the week and I went to a high school football game. So, all day, I'd be like "Yes! Blue Bloods tonight! " and then "Aww, no it doesn't :(."
Anyway, I made pictures. These have captions, which have apparently been lacking lately.

Let me introduce you to the Reagans (from left to right): Jamie (Little Brother), Henry (Grandpa), Frank (Dad), Erin (Sister), and Danny (Big Brother). All are involved in New York Law: Jamie is a Rookie Cop, Henry is retired and the former Police Commissioner, Frank is the Police Commissioner, Erin is an Assistant District Attorney, and Danny is a Detective. Hence the title- Blue Bloods. Protecting the citizens of New York is a Family Thing- it's in their blood.

And here they are again. I can't help but notice Jamie's partner making a lovely Derp Face behind Tom Selleck there.

This is Danny and his wife, Linda. So far, my favorite moment of the whole entire show was in the episode with a Terrorist/Bomber. Linda and their two sons were possibly in danger, and Danny couldn't reach her (why does no one answer their phone? Unless, of course, you're Don Eppes, in which you answer your phone too much. I guess it's a woman thing) and Danny was SO WORRIED (which was wonderful and I loved it). In the end, Linda and the boys come walking in, and Danny just goes to her and hugs and kisses her and she's like "What?" and he's all "Nothing. Nothing" and just holds on and I was like "AWWWW! Rewind!"

Danny and Linda's sons are names Jack and Sean and I can't tell them apart because they are rarely there. But this is a cute picture. Donnie Wahlberg is an awfully adorable husband/father for someone who thinks he's a gangsterr.

This is Erin. She's pretty awesome. She's an ADA, she's divorced, and she has a teenage daughter (with a terrible haircut). And as much as (you know me!) I think that Donnie Wahlberg should be playing the Single Parent of a Daughter, I enjoy Erin's struggles with Nikki, with her job... And the awesomesauce dynamic between her and her older brother. They work together, and it's awesome. They fight, and it's awesome. They're silly, and it's awesome. They're also like Batman and Robin, so, I IDENTIFY!

Erin is also Daddy's Little Girl. And Tom Selleck with a daughter = AWWWW. And while there was a much cuter father/daughter scene (chilling on the couch with his arm around her), this is adorable.

However awesome she may be, she is not a cop. Which was an interesting decision by the writers. On one hand, we have someone with a different job. On the other hand, a badass Police Chick would be totes legit.
Segue again!

This is Jamie. He's a rookie. I don't think I like him. He started off with not much of a personality, and now his personality is By the Book., Straight Laced, Clingy, and Boring. He doesn't agree with Danny over anything- he is totally against force and anything that might be mildly controversial. This I do not understand- with Big Brother and Dad with the same position (and raising him!), how is he totally against what he's being (and been) taught? Plus, while everyone is still sad over Brother Joe's (pre-show) death, Jamie isn't over it. And while he is discovering answers (because how could someone be dead without a conspiracy?), his clinging is annoying- I mean, taking your brother's things away from the woman who loved him? I seriously hope he develops a personality- and a backbone- soon, because I want to like him. I really do.

Anyways... Here he is again. I had to add text to this picture because otherwise it looked like some sort of In Memoriam thing (and... it still does). And I liked this quote from Danny when Jamie graduated from the academy- "Another Boot in a Suit." Another Reagan with Blue Blood.
Segue!

Awwwz. Tom Selleck makes the best on-screen dad ever (see also: Killers).

This is obvious.
So, I freaking love Blue Bloods. It is made of Amazing, and I look forward to it every week. So, as more happens (and Donnie Wahlberg continues to be Wonderful), expect more. Because I FREAKING LOVE THIS SHOW.

This is Danny. He's my favorite. He's played by Donnie Wahlberg, he is a husband and a dad (though not of girls, sadly), he's a detective, he's an angry (often bordering on Police Brutality) detective, and he's super protective (my favorite quality in a man). I mean, in the Pilot, he rescued a little girl. CBS knows the path to my heart (to lure me in and then snatch things away).
Danny knows the way to my heart.

Let's just jump right in.
Numero Uno- Eddie Cahill, aks Detective Flack of CSI:NY. Um, delish. Dark hair, blue eyes, sexy accent....
He's all broody in this one. Mmmmm.
I really like him yelling at the Stanley Cup.
FYI, him interrogating someone is the hawtest thing EVERRR.
Man with a badge? Um, yes, please!
#2- Derek Hough, of Dancing with the Stars. Even though dancing isn't so manly... the man is attractive. And although he does have weird eyebrows, he is like The Sweetest Guy Ever, which automatically makes him ten times more attractive.

I love these sailor outfits for some reason. And omg I am so jealous of Nicole's beautiful.
#3- Mark Ballas, also of Dancing with the Stars. He's freaking ADORABLE.

I heart Shawn Johnson.
OH THE FUNNY FACE.
And... My (newly) officially declared #4... Eli Manning! Because he's a football player and a Manning and cuteeeee.

My new favorite picture. Ever.
"Oh, look how cute I am having fun with my wife. Because I'm adorable."
And some Honorary Mentions...
Chris O'Donnell, who was once Robin and is now G. Callen on NCIS: LA.
Christian Kane, who was once a baby on Angel and now beats people up on Leverage.
George Eads, of CSI:, with a Texas accent and this picture was in TV Guide's Sexiest People issue for a reason, y'all.
Maksim Chmerkovisky, the Bad Boy of Dance and Former Partner/ Maybe (I hope!) Boyfriend of Erin Andrews, My Idol.
Shemar Moore, of Criminal Minds and Diary of a Mad Black Woman, in a Non-Gangster outfit for once.
And... that is all. For the moment. Because I have a desire to make a Blue Bloods Picspam.
Also Note: I did not touch up these photos in any way, just admired.

I've never posted recipes before, but I just had a delicious lunch (yes, at 5:30) and decided to share.
Both are super simple and fast and I think pretty cheap.
Also: there are no measurements because I don't cook like that. And there aren't pictures because I'm lazy.
Kurt Warner Salad
I named this The Kurt Warner Salad because the second time I made it, I was very angry about Kurt going home on DWTS. Since that is basically what my life revolves around, apparently.
1. Okay. Put some baby spinach leaves in a bowl. I use the bagged, pre-washed kind because I'm lazy.
2. I use pre-cooked microwaved chicken strips (like fajita style) because they're easy. The package says to microwave them for three to four minutes, but I usually only do it for a minute and forty-five seconds because they're pre-cooked and I don't want them hot.
3. Wash(!) and cut up four to six strawberries (depending on size and how much you want) into bite sized pieces and add them to the spinach.
4. Cut the chicken into bite sized pieces and add.
5. Add dressing- only a few tablespoons. I use Olive Oil Vinaigrette, but Raspberry Vinaigrette is also delish.
You could also add goat cheese if you like. Also, I usually chill this overnight because I pack it the night before and then take it to school, but it's good fresh, too.
3. Add four teaspoons of Mocha Latte (I use Hill Bros. Double Mocha or Mocha Cappuccino) and stir until blended.
Wow, that was easy!
And I should never write recipes because I suck and my kind of cooking is throwing ingredients together and hoping it's good.

Chai Mocha Latte
1. Pour milk into your favorite mug (I use Lactaid because it has "More of the calcium and none of the lactose!" and no lactose is a good thing, and a large mug with a snowman on it, because I like Christmas. Apparently a lot) and heat for about two minutes.
2. Add two teaspoons of Instant Chai Latte (I use International brand) to the milk.3. Add four teaspoons of Mocha Latte (I use Hill Bros. Double Mocha or Mocha Cappuccino) and stir until blended.
Wow, that was easy!

First off: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:
Guys, Kurt Warner was my FAVORITE!
They knew they were doomed.
Also: "Hai, I am Anna Trebunskya, and I am the cutest person you will ever see."
Also: I want this tee.
Anyway, the judges have been completely biased ALL SEASON against Kurt. And I have no idea why. No matter what they say, his scores are low. He made a comment this week that summed it up for me. Something along the lines of: "Stinking 8s again! You would think if I'm getting better, like they say, my scores would go up." Exactly, Kurt. One would think, especially if (almost) everyone else is getting 9s and 10s at this point. It ticks me off.
So, I'm not sure if you guys like my ranting, so I'll continue. Except, wait, I think my next note is for another rant.
Maks was a jerk this week.
According to Erin Andrews, he was just sticking up for Brandy because he's super protective (Erin would know) and him and Carrie Ann hugged later on. But it upset me that he sat there and argued, and then apologized to the fans, but not her. I was disappointed.
Moving on to the actual dancing:
YOU GO, BRISTOL.

Their Argentine Tango was pretty much awesome. By far the best they've done all season. I thought it deserved higher scores- the judges are biased against Bristol, too. I mean, what is this? "You weren't intense enough, you lost your facial expression once, let's give you 8s" crap? I mean, for real? I'm not a ballroom dancer, but I see no difference between Bristol's "lack of connection" and Brandy's "complete connection" other than Bristol doesn't look like she's going to cry.
I also enjoyed the trip to Alaska. I am alone in this opinion, but I love Sarah Palin. And Bristol's son is super cute.
And have I mentioned that I love Mark Ballas?
First of all, he and Bristol make the Cutest Couple Everr. Then, there was the Instant Dance, in which he immediately came up and said "That was my fault. I lost it, not her" and kept on with that. <3

Oh. My. Gosh. I wanted Jennifer to go home. I am SO TIRED of the whining. I mean, okay, I know. She's fifty. She has health problems. Okay. But I don't need new drama every single week about how she's falling apart. I'm really, really, tired of it. Erin (Because we always trust her judgment) says: "But (sighs) again with all the "My body's falling apart" stuff... She builds this up, this "I"m hurt, I'm hurt, I'm hurt," and then she comes out and is insane... At this stage of the game, everybody is hurt. You can't cry about it, and you have to soldier on." Amen, Erin. I was ready for Jennifer to be voted off so that we could just put her out of her misery- and our own.
I am so tired of this being the look on Brandy's face.
Seriously, whether she's dancing or getting results, she looks like she's going to burst into tears. I hate it. And yet Carrie Ann calls it an "emotional connection" and says she's "spellbound" (If I were Bristol, I would take lessons from Brandy and continually look like I was going to start sobbing, since that is apparently the emotional connection Carrie Ann wants to see).Yes, Brandy has emotion. The same emotion. The same overdramatic emotion. I'm tired of it, and I'm tired of it getting called awesome. I mean, okay, yes, she's an awesome dancer. But even Erin agrees with me: "She makes me laugh because she's so emotional. She's even emotional when she gets her scores. I can't tell is she's praying or if she's about to pass out... I really hope she does enjoy it and not put all this emphasis on "I have to win! I have to win! I have to win!" Just because you win a mirror ball trophy on DWTS, it doesn't mean it validates your existence in life... With Brandy, she's emphasized "I have to win it! I need to win it! It would mean so much to my family!"... No, it wouldn't."

I was super nervous about the Instant Dance. I thought it would be a disaster. I thought Kyle and Lacey were going to get slaughtered.
I'm so glad I was wrong.
Dude, they were awesome! I absolutely loved it. Kyle has grown so much as a dancer. I'd love to see him in the Final Three.
I really don't have anything else to say about them, because I pretty much complained about everyone else, or somebody else's attitude toward everyone else, but I have no complaints here.
Yep... That's it for this week. Expect one next week. And for the last week. And if there's not one, yell at me.
Also, I can't wait to see who's on Season 12!
<---- Link to the Erin interview I quoted (she does one every week!)
Also: I found this picture. I like it.

Also: I found this picture. I like it.
I mean to write a blog every week. I really do. But then... Yeah. So, here's Week 7's, since I actually wrote it.
Up until now (Weeks 1-6), every single elimination has gone my way. The person who I've wanted to go home that week has. And with Weeks 5 and 6, it hasn't been that I haven't liked that person, just that I've liked everyone else more. But now?
OH MY GOD CAN'T THEY ALL WIN?
I want Kurt Warner to win. He's my favorite celebrity- I love his football career and his faith, and I did before DWTS. I love how he's just a regular guy, just a husband and a dad. I love how he gets into character. I love how he's improved. I love how classy he is. And I absolutely love Anna Trebunskya. Sister Friend is made of Adorable. I also love how down to earth she is, and how absolutely hilarious they are together. Their "Bewitched" dance is one of my favorites of all time. </lj-embed>
Picking a winner isn't hard, but second place? Third place? Eliminated next? That's freaking impossible.

Originally, I thought Jennifer Grey would win. She was Baby, she did really well, and her partner is the wonder that is Derek Hough, a.k.a. The Sweetest Man Alive and one of my Celebrity Crushes. But then her dances weren't as good. And she kept ending up in jeopardy. And I'm tired of her whining about how she's fifty years old and her body doesn't work (we get it, okay?). But I'm not sure if I want her to go- I like her and hate parting with Derek Hough.

And then there's Brandy (who actually does have a last name). She's had the highest scores for weeks. She's a super ("awesome chawsome") person and all, but her winning would be close to another ("awesome chawsome") Nicole Scherzinger. I'm just not a big fan of dancing (even if it's not ballroom) performers going against people who have never entertained a day in their life (there should be a Most Improved Award). However, Brandy has Maksim Chmerkovisky, the Bad Boy of Dance and Former Partner/ Maybe Boyfriend of Erin Andrew, My Idol, so she has that going for her, too.
And now for The Underdogs- Perpetually In Jeopardy, Perpetually Insulted, But Perpetually Loved by Yours Truly.

Kyle Massey is less insulted, but still always in jeopardy. I love him. And I for real love Lacey Schwimmer. They're hilarious. They're tons of fun. They have enough personality for ten couples. I love watching them dance- their fun is contagious (I loved their Charlie's Angel's dance). In the beginning, I thought that they had a legit shot, especially after Carrie Ann called Kyle her First Crush of Season 11. But the poor boy has too much Personality and not enough Footwork, which we all know Killjoy Len is not a fan of. But I think he's a Fan Favorite- including the Fan- especially after he channeled his Inner Maks by drawing on abs with a Sharpie. I love this couple lots and lots, and always have. But more than who? Less that who?
(Oh hai, Mark)
Last is Pobrecita Bristol Palin. The entire world hates her because of her mother/ political views/ mistake she made that millions make/ they're jerks. But I love her. She's ridiculously adorable. She's super sweet. And I think she should win Most Improved. I've been super happy when she gets to come back because I want to see how she'll do better. And she does. Plus, she has Mark Ballas, who is crazy adorable and quickly becoming my third Celebrity Crush (joining Derek Hough and Eddie Cahill). They make the Cutest Couple Ever. So, no, she's not the best dancer. Maybe her time/luck should be up. But I'm very proud.
Long story short: I think I like everyone.
Up until now (Weeks 1-6), every single elimination has gone my way. The person who I've wanted to go home that week has. And with Weeks 5 and 6, it hasn't been that I haven't liked that person, just that I've liked everyone else more. But now?

MY FAVORITE SHOW IS BACK, GUYS.
So, I picked favorites. And then I realized that I picked half of the cast. And then I realized that I don't care.

Yes, guys, my favorites (in order) are: Jennifer and Derek, Kyle and Lacey, Kurt and Anna, Brandy and Maks, Bristol and Mark, and Rick and Cheryl. Which is HALF THE CAST.
Anyway, here's why:
Jennifer and Derek: "Nobody puts Baby in the corner." That's right, ya'll. I am a HUGE Dirty Dancing fan. Me and some of my bffs? That's our movie. So I must love her. Not to mention that I also love Derek. He's probably the best choreographer on the show (he has TWO Mirrorball Trophies for a reason), not to mention he is SO sweet and cute. THE SWEETEST. This is my favorite couple. They rock.
Kyle and Lacey: Hello, adorable. Kyle and Lacey are so young and SO CUTE. Lacey is one of my favorite Pros because of her adorable. And the two of them together are gold- both cute and comedic. I LOVE THEM.
Kurt and Anna: I was a Kurt Warner fan before. I love football players, and the fact that Kurt is a Christian. And, Anna is just sooo unbelievably gorgeous. This team is also wonderful.
Brandy and Maks: I just love Maks, guys. Even when he's a jerk. I miss Erin with him. And I do like Brandy, though I wasn't really a fan before. I am getting to know her through DWTS, and I like so far.
Bristol and Mark: I heart Bristol Palin. I know there is SO MUCH controversy and hate for her because "OH GOODNESS SHE HAS MORALS" and "OH NO SHE SCREWED UP. BAD" and "SARAH PALIN IS A HYPOCRITE FOR NOT KICKING HER OUT" and "OH GOSH A CONSERVATIVE." And those are kind of why I love her. You go, Girl. Oh, and Mark is pretty cool, too.
Rick and Cheryl: Pro Athlete (who is much less arrogant that Chad Ochocinco YUCK) + Cheryl Burke = YAYZ. I love Cheryl. And, so far, Rick, who I was a fan of even before. So yes, they earn a spot here.
And I also make predictions. That have changed a little. And are still open to.

Okay, so at the time, they may have been based slightly on favoritism. I'm still completely confident that Jennifer and Derek are going to win, because Jennifer was Baby and Derek is the best and they were awesome and the judges loved it. Brandy and Maks also seemed like a genuine possibility- they had nice high scored. Kyle and Lacey's dance was the best all night, and the judges loved it. So yay for them, too!

I am still confident in Jennifer and Derek winning and Kyle and Lacey snagging third place (they are amazing and cute enough to get votes, plus the judges like them- especially Carrie Ann). However, after watching Audrina do well again and get great scores again, I think that she has much better potential than Maks and Brandy, especially because I did not like Maks and Brandy's dance at all Monday.
I think that's all for now. More later, because THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHOW.
For reasons I don't really understand.

On September 19, Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts will take on his brother, Eli Manning, and the New York Giants.
MY EXCITEMENT CANNOT BE CONTAINED.

There will probably be more later because I LOVE THEM.
